Aroostook Savings & Loan is seeking a full-time Operations Assistant to join our dedicated team at our Caribou Operations Center. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of daily banking functions while delivering the personalized service that sets Your Home Bank apart.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data processing
• Processing electronic files
• Debit card services
• Wire transfers
• Accounts payable
• Reconciling statements and accounts
• Customer care and troubleshooting

Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and a team player with:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment while managing multiple departmental deadlines efficiently
• A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree in business or accounting, with basic accounting skills is preferred.
• Two years of banking operations experience or familiarity with online banking, ATM/debit card services, ACH processing, and remote deposit capture is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous banking or financial services experience
• Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements
• Bilingual skills (English/French) beneficial for serving our local community
• Experience with core banking software
• Cash handling experience
