Message from the President
Dear Valued Members,
As we move into spring, Aroostook Savings & Loan continues to be deeply involved in our local community and committed to enhancing your banking experience. Operation Hunger Telethon: We are eagerly anticipating the 7th annual Operation Hunger Telethon on Thursday, April 10th, from 3-7pm, broadcasting live from WAGM-TV. In partnership with Catholic Charities and the United Way, this telethon is a key initiative to combat hunger in our local communities. Aroostook Savings & Loan is proud to continue our Platinum Sponsorship of this vital fundraising event and to provide staff volunteers at the phone bank. The funds raised directly support the food purchasing needs for the 28 local food pantries they serve in Aroostook. We encourage everyone to contribute to this cause either through WAGM’s website on the day of the telethon or at www.FeedTheCounty.com Together, we are making a difference!
Staff Updates: On a note of advancement, I am pleased to announce that Iris Pelletier has been promoted to Branch Manager in Caribou. Having joined us in 2010, Iris has advanced from a Loan Servicing Representative to a Loan Officer in 2023, and now steps into the role previously held by the retired Beth Henderson.
Renée Deschesne, our new Payroll Specialist at Aroostook Payroll, offers a wealth of customer service experience from her previous role at I Care Pharmacy.

Ian Tuttle, our new Full-Time Teller at the Caribou branch, comes to us with a solid background in customer service.

We are also excited to welcome new members to our team, each bringing unique skills to enhance our services: Ghent Holdsworth, joining as Chief Lending & Business Development Officer, brings over 23 years of commercial lending experience, servicing customers throughout Aroostook County. Ghent will focus on strengthening our lending services and business partnerships. For all your commercial lending needs, do not hesitate to reach out to Ghent.
Technology Upgrades: Our commitment to improving your banking experience is further demonstrated by the recent installation of new ATMs at each branch. These ATMs feature touch screens with enhanced privacy settings and the industry’s most advanced anti-skimming technology, ensuring both convenience and security.
Aroostook Savings & Loan is grateful for your trust and looks forward to assisting you in achieving your financial goals. As your “Truly Local” financial institution, we value you and your business as we focus on Aroostook County. Together, we can ensure that the “County” will continue to be known around the country. Thank you for being part of our community-focused journey.
