IMPORTANT NOTICE OF CHANGE
Revision to Funds Availability Policy Effective July 1, 2025
Important new information about making withdrawals from your account. Due to updates in Federal Regulation CC (Availability of Funds and Collection of Checks), the amount of funds that must be made available to you will be changing effective July 1, 2025. Depending on the type of check you deposit, your funds may not be available until the second business day after the day we receive your deposit. However, beginning July 1, 2025, the first $275 of your deposit will be available on the first business day after the day of deposit. (This is an increase from the previous threshold of $225.)
Longer Delays May Apply – Funds you deposit by check may be delayed for a longer period under certain conditions, including:
- If you deposit checks totaling more than $6,725 on any one day. (This is a change from the previous $5,525 threshold.)
- If you are a new customer and your account has been open for 30 days or less.
Special Rules for New Accounts – For new accounts (those open for 30 days or less): - Electronic direct deposits will continue to be available on the day we receive the deposit.
- Cash, wire transfers, and the first $6,725 of a cashier’s, certified, teller’s, traveler’s, and federal, state and local government checks will generally be available on the first business day after the day of deposit, provided certain conditions are met. For example, the checks must be payable to you, and you may be required to use a special deposit slip.
- Any amount over $6,725 will be available no later than the ninth business day after the day of your deposit. Note: If these checks (excluding U.S. Treasury checks) are not deposited in person to a bank employee, the first $6,725 may not be available until the second business day after the day of deposit. (This is a change from the previous $5,525 threshold.)
We will notify you if a longer delay applies to your deposit and will inform you when the funds will become available. In most cases, funds will be available no later than the seventh business day following your deposit. A complete Funds Availability Facts brochure is available at any branch location or upon request.
